I have been studying Spanish as a hobby for about six months now and I can honestly say that this book has accelerated my learning by leaps and bounds. This book alone will not teach a complete beginner how to speak Spanish. Having said that however, this book is a great compliment to any Spanish textbooks or someone taking a class. Every time I pick it up, I learn something new. So many topics here that don't seem to be covered in any of the textbooks or classes I have taken. The section on idioms is especially helpful and this book really cleared up my confusion with regards to the "subjunctive mood." Beginners and intermediate students with a basic working knowledge of Spanish will gain a lot here, but even advanced students and native speakers can benefit as well. Any student of Spanish simply cannot pass this up, easily worth double the price.
This little book is a lot smaller than I thought it would be! However the size does not impact the wealth of knowledge this book contains. I just started a college level Spanish class and of course grammar is the hardest thing for me right now. This book has been a wonderful reference and supplement to the course materials.Just this morning I was studying for my exam and had a question about telling time in Spanish, I was going to hop on google for some help, but pulled out this book first and my questioned was answered perfectly.
I studied Spanish for 4 years in high school. Currently, I am teaching our 9 year-old & 14 year/old grandchildren & I find this text to be beautifully constructed to teach them both vocabulary & grammar. The book is an excellent resource for a very nominal price! I highly recommend it.
Smaller than anticipated with tiny font. Very little useful information and not in desired format. Fortunately it was cheap; waste of time/effort to return.

Great book, reccommended to me by other language learners. A small book that fits in my bag but contains most of what I need to know. The section on the uses of the reflexive pronoun "se" could use improvement, though.
This not your typical Spanish tutoring book. This is not Spanish for Dummies, which by the way I was not impressed with. This is a book about grammar, which is tutoring above and beyond translation S to E or E to S. This is a book that teaches how sentences should be put together and more. How to use de and del or other inticasies. You really need to know some Spanish, then hope to advance beyond just vocabulary.
Definitely not the first book you want but, like a dictionary, necessary to beginners. This is a great back up for lessons where I needed more information about a part of grammar. Easy to find information needed.
